Nothing personal against former President Duterte, says PBBM

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday clarified he does not have any personal issues with his predecessor former President Rodrigo Duterte despite the latter’s tirades against him.

In an interview with the Philippine media on the sidelines of his three-day working visit to Germany, President Marcos said he knows how to handle personal issues, as well as other issues related to his work.

“So, like I told you many times before, hindi ako namemersonal. Para sa akin, hindi naman madali, pero nahihiwalay ko ‘yung trabaho at saka ‘yung personal. So, I don’t see a problem there,” President Marcos said.

President Marcos also extended his birthday greetings to his predecessor.

“Well, yes. We will, of course, wish him a happy birthday, and many happy returns. At talaga namang that is, alam mo naman tayong mga Pilipino ginagalang natin ‘yung mga very important occasions na ganiyan,” President Marcos said.

President Marcos made the remarks when asked if he has a birthday wish to Duterte.

“Like I told you before,  although there is an official greeting from the Office of the President, there will also be greeting, e personal ko namang kilala si PRRD,” President Marcos said.
