Per Memorandum Circular No 37, and as conferred with the Office of the Executive Secretary, work is only suspended in the executive branch of government on December 26, 2017 and January 2, 2018.

Those working in the other branches of the government and independent commissions and bodies as well as those in the private sector and offices are not covered by the memorandum circular.  We leave the decision to the sound discretion of their respective heads/ employers.

Those who will be working in the executive branch may avail of the compensatory time-off depending on the policy of their office on overtime.
