PBBM and New Zealand PM Luxon meet on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits
Building on their discussions during Prime Minister (PM) Christopher Luxon’s state visit to the Philippines in April 2024, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and New Zealand PM Luxon met again on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits.The bilateral meeting centered on deepening cooperation in areas such as trade and people-to-people exchanges. As a gesture of friendship, PBBM presented PM Luxon with a Jollibee vinyl figure dressed in a traditional Philippine barong.
On the first day of his official visit to Lao PDR for the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to strengthen ties between the Philippines and Vietnam.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos have arrived at the Wattay International Airport for the four-day 44th and 45th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and Related Summits in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic of Republic.
The government will continue to ensure that Philippine engagements with ASEAN and other stakeholders will serve the country’s national interest and the well-being of the Filipino people, President Ferdinand R. Marcos said on Tuesday.
