PASIG CITY, (PIA)—The Armed Forces of the Philippines’ National Capital Region Command (NCRCOM) is all set to provide security for the fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. on Monday, July 28 in Quezon City.
NCRCOM Commander BGen Eric Macaambac PN(M) said that the command has mobilized specialized personnel and assets to support the Philippine National Police–National Capital Region Police Office to ensure safety, security, and orderliness during the SONA.
Personnel from the NCR Command includes Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) companies, ambu-medic teams, K9 and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units, and other mission-capable assets—all integrated with the PNP’s security architecture to preempt any disruptions or threats during the national event.
The deployment of NCRCOM’s troops is a testament to its continued role to work hand in hand with other agencies to safeguard democracy, support public welfare, and uphold national stability. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
