Solon gives PBBM perfect score for 1st-year performance

LEGAZPI CITY – Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co gave a perfect score to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. after one year in Malacañang.

“I give him (President) a perfect score, kasi unang-una nasa puso, unity team, love for all. Kumbaga walang away-away (because first of all, it’s in the heart, unity team, love for all. There’s no fighting), move forward,” Co said in a media interview on Saturday.

He said the President is achieving his promises during the campaign, like housing projects.

On Saturday, Co, Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda, and celebrity guest Willie Revillame visited evacuees in Camalig town and Tabaco City to distribute food packs and prizes.

“We want to let the evacuees feel the love, support and comfort. We are with them in these difficult times. Despite the stress of being in evacuation centers, we want to give joy to them, bring happiness aside from the relief goods that we provide, we also give entertainment,” Co said.

On Friday, they were in Daraga and Sto. Domingo towns to give relief goods to more than 1,600 families.

Co said permanent evacuation centers, away from schools, will rise in different local government units in Albay and other provinces in the Bicol region.

“A permanent evacuation center with air conditioning that will make for a comfortable stay will soon be constructed here. The same center will be constructed in Camalig town,” he said.

He said the evacuation sites will have health centers and can also be used for conventions and trainings.

Senator Christopher Go, in another statement, also lauded Marcos for bringing government services closer to the people.

At the same time, he expressed hope that the Regional Specialty Centers bill will be signed into law.

The Senate approved the measure in May to establish specialty centers under Department of Health-run hospitals across the country in order to decentralize the services of specialty centers such as the Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Philippine Heart Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, and National Kidney and Transplant Institute, all located in Quezon City in the National Capital Region.
