PBBM meets with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva
Sa ginanap na bilateral meeting sa pagitan nina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at International Monetary Fund (IMF) Maganing Director Kristalina Georgieva ay nangako ang IMF na handa silang tumulong para isulong ang mga polisiya na mas makabubuti sa mga Pilipino. Ayon naman kay PBBM, kinakailangang siguruhin ng Pilipinas ang maayos na pagtugon sa mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino. Inilahad din niya ang kahalagahan ng digitalization para mas epektibo at mabisa ang paghahatid ng mga serbisyo ng pamahalaan.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with Mr. Gokul Laroia, Chairman for Asia Pacific, Morgan Stanley, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Mr. Laroia informed President Marcos that the top global investment bank will set up office in Manila.
On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) organized sessions, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual met with Mr. Gary Nagle, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Glencore, on Tuesday to discuss the company’s interest to expand mining and processing operations in the Philippines. Glencore, a Swiss multinational company, is one of the largest and globally diversified natural resource companies in the world. They see the Philippines as a potential partner to process nickel and copper resources responsibly and sustainably for use in electric vehicle batteries and energy storage units, among others.

Kasama ang economic team ng bansa, ipinahayag ng Pangulo sa kanyang talumpati ang kalagayan ng Pilipinas at mga hakbang ng administrasyon sa usapin ng inflation, kalakalan, imprastruktura, enerhiya, climate change at iba pa. Ayon pa kay PBBM, isang magandang pagkakataon ang talakayang ito para maipakita sa WEF at partners nito ang mga oportunidad na maaaring buksan sa bansa.

Dinaluhan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pormal na pagbubukas ng World Economic Forum (WEF) 2023 sa Davos Congress Centre sa Switzerland. Pormal na binuksan ito Swiss President Alain Berset sa pamamagitan ng isang talumpati sa harap ng mga lider mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.

Marcos Jr.’s investment pitch for the Philippines received "a very positive response" from some of the world's top CEOs and investment experts during a dinner hosted for him by Grab Chairman and CEO Anthony Tan at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Speaker Martin Romualdez, who was present during the dinner, said "everyone was excited about the Philippine recovery story and agreed that it is the future investor haven for western capital."

Sa kanyang talumpati, ipinaabot din ni PBBM ang pasasalamat sa pribadong sektor na isang mahalagang bahagi sa pagpapalakas ng ekonomiya at pagbangon ng bansa mula sa pandemya.

Ngayong araw ay patungo na sa Davos, Switzerland ang delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. upang dumalo sa World Economic Forum (WEF).
Sa kanyang mensahe, inihayag ng Pangulo na mahalaga ang partisipasyon ng bansa sa WEF bilang isa itong pagkakataon para ibahagi ang mga mahahalagang nakamit ng bansa sa pagsasaayos muli ng ekonomiya at paghihikayat sa mga malalaking negosyante at investors mula sa iba't ibang bahagi ng buong mundo.
Ito ang kauna-unahang in-person meeting ng WEF matapos ang halos tatlong taon makalipas ang pag-usbong ng COVID-19 pandemic noong 2020. Isa rin ito sa pinakamalaking public-private forum sa buong mundo na dadaluhan ng 52 na heads of state.
