Dedicated OFW wing at NAIA Terminal 3 opens

The Bureau of Immigration has announced that a dedicated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) wing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 has been opened to provide faster and more efficient immigration processing for arriving and departing OFWs.

In a press briefing on Monday, Presidential Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said “binuksan na ng Bureau of Immigration ang bagong OFW Wing sa NAIA Terminal 3.”

“Ang nasabing wing ay para lang sa mga OFW para matiyak ang mabilis at mas epektibong Immigration processing,” Castro said.

The OFW wing is aligned with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to enhance and modernize services for all OFWs, she said.

Castro said the newly launched facility, which started serving OFWs on April 9, is a tangible demonstration of the government’s continued recognition of OFWs’ significant contributions to the Philippine economy.

“Bahagi rin ito ng pagkakilala sa kontribusyon ng OFWs sa ekonomiya ng ating bansa,” she said.

The BI records an average of more than 3,400 OFWs departing from NAIA daily, hence the need for special lanes. | PND
