PBBM says OCTA survey ‘validates what we’re doing’

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said he was inspired by the results of the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) survey by OCTA Research, which validated his administration’s push to improve Filipinos’ lives.

During an interview at the 46th commencement exercises of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in Camp Castañeda in Silang, Cavite, President Marcos described the OCTA survey results as concrete proof of the people’s appreciation of the government’s efforts to address their needs.

“It just validates what we are doing. People are beginning to understand what we have been trying to do for the last two and a half years,” President Marcos told reporters.

“It continues to inspire me because it shows that we are making progress. That’s always good to know,” the President said.

According to OCTA Research’s April 2025 TNM survey, President Marcos remains the country’s most trusted government official.

The April 2025 TNM nationwide survey indicated the President received a trust rating of 60 percent and a performance rating of 59 percent, making him the country’s most trusted government official.

Even after the recent survey indicated a decline in the President’s performance rating, the OCTA report pointed out, “It is not substantial.”

The survey firm said most Filipinos continue to trust and support the President’s performance, noting that the consistent 60 percent trust rating is evidence of the public’s continued confidence.

Malacañang said in a statement that despite the political controversies and criticisms, Filipinos remain focused on the administration’s bigger achievements and that public trust has proven resilient despite attempts to sow doubt on the Marcos administration. | PND
