PBBM: Gov’t laying groundwork to boost economy, attract big investors

The government is steadily laying the groundwork to strengthen the Philippine economy and attract major investors and industrial projects to the country, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said over the weekend.

“Kaya naman po dahan-dahan makikita natin pinaghahanda po natin ang ating ekonomiya upang lumago, upang lumakas, at lahat po nang maaaring gawin upang dalhin po natin ang mga malalaking planta, ang malalaking investor dito sa Pilipinas,” President Marcos said in his speech at the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign rally on Saturday.

President Marcos proudly reported that the government’s economic strategy yields concrete results. He cited the inflow of trillions of pesos in investments as a strong indicator of investor confidence.

The President credited Finance Secretary Ralph Recto—a native of Batangas—for playing a key role in shaping policies that attract foreign and domestic investors.

President Marcos also highlighted the administration’s efforts to address long-standing issues in the agricultural sector, especially in supporting farmers and stabilizing food prices.

Kaya’t kailangan po natin ayusin,” the Chief Executive noted.

Upon taking office, the President said he was met with a struggling agricultural landscape: “Ngunit ang nadatnan po namin ay ang isang agrikultura na napakahina po.

President Marcos inaugurated the country’s first-ever coconut processing facility last week to support the coconut industry.

The facility is significant as it will enable farmers to compete in the global market.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive economic development, with policies aimed at large-scale investment and grassroots support for Filipino farmers and workers. | PND
