PBBM vows full support for Air Force modernization, troop welfare

Recognizing the sacrifices of Philippine Air Force (PAF) personnel who risk their lives in the line of duty, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday reaffirmed his administration’s full support to the PAF, pledging to continue investing in its modernization and ensuring the welfare of its personnel.

Speaking before airmen and airwomen during the 78th founding anniversary of the PAF at Villamor Air Base in Pasay, the Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the government remains steadfast in equipping the Air Force for present and future challenges.

“The government will exert all efforts to provide the Philippine Air Force with the best possible equipment, training, and facilities,” President Marcos said.

The President said a modern, well-equipped force is only possible with continued commitment and support from the government.

“We remain relentless in ensuring that support will continue. Because we know that when our troops are equipped and cared for, they are empowered to fulfill their duties and serve the country with excellence,” said the President.

President Marcos acknowledged the sacrifices of the PAF men and women, commending their courage, dedication, and quiet heroism in both combat and humanitarian operations.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I know that whenever the mission calls, the Philippine Air Force answers. Time and again, you put your life on the line for the sake of our people,” President Marcos said.

The Commander-in-Chief assured PAF troops that their loyalty and service will be met with the same level of dedication from his administration.

“Habang umaasa ang taumbayan sa inyo, kayo naman ay may maaasahan sa Administrasyong ito. Bilang inyong Commander-in-Chief, titiyakin kong buo at tapat ang suporta at malasakit ko sa inyong lahat na Philippine Air Force,” the President said.

The President congratulated this year’s awardees, praising their outstanding service as he called for continued unity and focus on their oath to serve.

“I sincerely congratulate this year’s awardees for your outstanding performance. You truly deserve the recognition that we have given you today,” the Commander-in-Chief said.

“Let our resolve be focused and unshaken as we serve the Philippines and fly ever higher together,” the President said. | PND
