Cagayan de Oro City — President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Tuesday, February 5, paid his last respects to Solona Canoy, wife of former Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Reuben Canoy.

The Chief Executive arrived at 8:05 p.m. at the Canoy residence in Barangay Kauswagan here and condoled with the family of the former official.

Duterte talked to Reuben and other family members for more than an hour.

Solona passed away on February 3 due to cardiac arrest. She was 94.

She was the president and owner of the International School of Cagayan de Oro.

President Duterte was accompanied by former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.###(PND)
