The Palace confirms that the Office of the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, directed the Philippine National Police and the National Bureau of Investigation to conduct a thorough investigation on the disappearances of sabungeros, after receiving a copy of Senate Resolution No. 996. The PNP and the NBI are further directed to submit their findings to the Office of the President and the Department of Justice within 30 days from the issuance of the order.

In addition, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is directed to conduct an investigation for any violation of its e-sabong licensees under their terms of agreement. PAGCOR is further directed to ensure the compliance with the security and surveillance requirements under its Regulatory Framework for E-Sabong Cockpit Betting Station, particularly the installation of the CCTV systems in e-sabong gaming sites, among others.

Having said this, unless otherwise directed, the operations of e-sabong licensees shall remain unaffected, pending the result of the above investigations.
