The Executive Department is continuing the disaster relief efforts to aid those greatly affected by super typhoon Rolly.
As per the November 4, 2020 6AM report of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), more than P18.2-M assistance has been provided in affected areas in Regions NCR, II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Region V Region VIII, and CAR by the DSWD, local government units and other non-government organizations (NGOs). Around 188,417 individuals are inside the evacuation centers.
The Department of Health, on the other hand, provided P540,440.00 worth of hygiene kits and collapsible water drinking containers and P402,741.20 worth of medicine for allocation of local government units, as of November 4, 2020, 8AM.
The Department of Energy likewise mobilized Task Force Kapatid with Region 8 Electric Cooperatives-Task Force Kapatid and Task Force Kapatid Isabela Electric Cooperative 2 (ISELCO) going to the Bicol Region and Marinduque respectively this morning to assess the situation and help restore power.
Meanwhile, all airports and seaports are now open, as per the Department of Transportation. Sixty tons of relief goods and supplies aboard the Philippine Coast Guard’s BRP Gabriela Silang, is expected to arrive Virac, Catanduanes tomorrow.
The Department of Public Works and Highways has already cleared 26 road sections, as of November 4, 2020.
