The Palace extends its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of former Press Secretary Ricardo “Dong” Puno, Jr., who passed away today.

A lawyer by profession, Sec. Puno was a respected member of the media prior to and after serving under the administration of former President Joseph Estrada.

Known for his intelligent, insightful interviews, Sec. Puno received numerous distinctions for his work in public affairs programs that helped provide the public with a better understanding of the issues of the day.

Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Sec. Puno as we join them in praying for his eternal repose.
