The Palace is closely monitoring the movement of typhoon Ulysses and has suspended work in government offices and classes in public schools at all levels in Regions II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, Cordillera Administrative Region and the National Capital Region effective 3PM today until tomorrow, November 12, upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
We leave the suspension of work for private companies, offices and schools to their respective heads’ discretion.
Concerned agencies of the government are on standby 24/7 and have already prepositioned relief goods, supplies and medicines. The NDRRMC Operations Center is closely coordinating with all regional disaster risk reduction and management councils and local government units that are in the track of Typhoon Ulysses.
We ask the residents of areas that will be affected to regularly monitor and follow weather advisories and government announcements, secure their house and vehicle, cooperate with authorities when an evacuation notice is issued, postpone travels to avoid getting stranded and stay indoors to avoid injuries from flying debris.
