DUTERTE ADMINISTRATION MOVES FORWARD

While the government has launched a series of offensives to clear Marawi City of Maute rebels, the rest of the Duterte administration remains focused in its avowed goal of bringing prosperity for all.

We are pleased to announce that today, May 30, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) led the groundbreaking Ccremony of the LRT Line 2 East (Masinag) Extension that will signal the start of construction of its two newest stations (Masinag and Emerald stations). This will extend the current railway line from Santolan to Masinag in Antipolo.

This will make a commuter’s travel time from Recto to Masinag in less than 40 minutes compared to the usual travel of up to 3 hours by bus or jeep.

The project, which is part of our Build-Build-Build Infrastructure Plan, is designed to accommodate 80,000 passengers per day. It will be completed in August 2018.
