President Benigno S. Aquino III congratulates the 81 new cadets who have completed the Cadet Engineering Program (CEP) of the Depatment of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The CEP is the 26-week program composed of 6 weeks of foundation course and 20 weeks of on-the-job training that covers technical knowledge, strategic thinking, leadership, public service and values and professional ethics as part of DPWH’s Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Program in partnership with First Pacific Leadership Academy to set new entry standards for civil engineers in the bureaucracy. These young civil engineers are now deployed in provinces nationwide. The program will encourage top Civil Engineering graduates to begin their career with DPWH instead of working overseas. With the President is DPWH Secretary Rogelio Singson. (Photo by Exequiel Supera / Malacanang Photo Bureau) |
