Ngayon po, nagpupulong po si Presidente kasama ang mga rice traders at inaasahan po natin na ilalabas nila ang lahat ng hinaing nila tungkol dito sa negosyo ng pag-angkat ng bigas at magkakaroon ng mga bagong impormasyon dito sa mga deklarasyon na nagko-cause ng panic na diumano daw ay mayroon daw rice shortage. Wala pong rice shortage, at ang gusto nga malaman ni Presidente ngayon eh bakit ho lumalabas iyong mga ganiyang balita.
So hindi na po namin pina-bukas itong announcement na ito. Ang Presidente po, ang deklarasyon niya kay Secretary Guevarra, ang Department of Justice ay isa po sa pinaka-sensitibong departamento dahil katarungan ang pinag-uusapan.
Q: Sir, kailan ang change of command ng Chief PNP?
SEC. ROQUE: April 14 nga po ang panunumpaan ng parehong PNP at saka AFP.
Q: Bakit po si Usec. Guevarra iyong napili?
SEC. ROQUE: Eh alam natin—kilala natin si Usec. Guevarra, talaga namang napatunayang kakayahan at kagalingan sa batas at integridad ang mayroon si Secretary Guevarra.
Take note that although he is Deputy Executive Secretary, he had the post of a Cabinet member as well here in Malacañang. So, it’s just a transfer of appointment from Office of the President to Department of Justice.
Q: Kailan siya magsisimula sir, si SDES?
SEC. ROQUE: The appointment paper was signed now, and I suppose he will take his oath right away. At dahil ang Kongreso po ay on recess, this is a valid ad interim appointment. He is a full pledge Secretary.
Q: How about General Galvez, why was he chosen?
SEC. ROQUE: Wala po akong impormasyon. Basta ang sabi lang ni Presidente, paki-anunsiyo na, na it is Lt. Gen. Carlito Galvez as the next AFP Chief of Staff.
Q: Sir ano po ang reason cited ni Secretary Aguirre…? [off mic]
SEC. ROQUE: Ay hindi ko na muna—hindi ko na po nakita iyong resignation letter. At ang sabi naman ni Presidente, pakisabi na lang na it was just a matter of accepting a resignation tendered to him by Secretary Aguirre.

SEC. ROQUE: Ah wala pong ganoon, it was an acceptance of a resignation. Okay? Salamat po.
