“Aksyon, Hindi Bakasyon” continues as PBBM ends June with stronger push for safety, recovery



President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ended the month of June with more robust actions to improve living conditions of most Filipinos.

President Marcos’ series of on-the-ground engagements and swift policy directives reflect his administration’s strong stand that public service does not take a break.

Upon his return from Japan, President Marcos flew to Marawi City to oversee rehabilitation efforts after the 2017 siege.

On June 23, President Marcos distributed laptops, Starlink internet units as well as school bags filled with supplies to learners and teachers at temporary learning spaces and fast-tracked the construction of the PhP520 million Marawi Dansalan Integrated School for over 10,000 students.

The President also directed the opening of the Marawi City General Hospital (MCGH) a month ahead of schedule to immediately restore essential healthcare services.

To ensure the welfare of troops, the President met with soldiers of the 103rd Infantry Brigade and addressed their concerns about infrastructure, logistics and other benefits.

At the Port of Marawi, the President ordered the construction of new ports around Lake Lanao to boost inter-municipality connectivity and local trade.

On June 24, despite the holiday in Manila, President Marcos convened his economic team to proactively plan for the potential impact of the Iran-Israel conflict on fuel prices and inflation.

On June 25, the President personally led the destruction of PhP9.4 billion worth of confiscated illegal drugs at a facility in Capas, Tarlac. The drugs included nearly Php9 billion worth of “floating shabu” recovered by fishermen off the coasts of northern Luzon.

The government’s bloodless war has so far yielded PhP62 billion in drug seizures since President Marcos took office.

On June 27, the President visited Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, expressing full support to the Philippine Air Force (PAF), recognizing its vital role in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

On June 30, the President capped off the month by turning over 16 mobile soil laboratories, a PhP63.9 million rice processing system, and PhP31 million worth of farm machinery in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
