President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vowed on Tuesday to work harder to improve the lives of Filipinos.
“Nakikita naman na we’re really doing our best to alleviate the hardships na dinadaanan ng mga tao,” President Marcos said.
The President made the remarks on the sidelines of the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected officers of several media groups on Tuesday at Malacañan Palace.
President Marcos was asked to comment on the latest OCTA Research survey, which showed his improved public trust and approval ratings in the second quarter of 2024.
The same survey, however, showed that Vice President Sara Duterte suffered a drop in her ratings.
The President said the improvement in public trust and approval ratings indicates that the Filipino people are beginning to understand the programs and projects of the administration.
“It seems to be people [are] beginning to understand what we are trying to do, they’re beginning to feel the effects of it, and so you must continue to do more and even try to do even better,” President Marcos said.
“So, that’s always an inspiration for me,” the President remarked. PND
