President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured Bicolanos of government’s unhampered services and infrastructure projects designed to uplift their lives.
President Marcos made the vow during the distribution of land titles, support services, and financial assistance to farmers and fisherfolk at the Fuerte CamSur Sports Complex, Pili, Camarines Sur on Friday.
The special occasion was attended by thousands of Bicolanos eager to receive government assistance.
“Kaya, asahan ninyo [na] lagi kaming may baong magandang balita at pasalubong. Mula sa pagtatapos ng imprastraktura na aming ipinatayo hanggang sa mga programang aming pasisinayaan upang maging mas masagana ang pamumuhay dito sa Region V.,” President Marcos said.
Among the infrastructure projects identified by the President are the Camarines Sur Expressway, Pasacao-Balatan Tourism Coastal Road and the New Naga Airport Development Project. They are all expected to provide better transportation system and improve the economy in Bicol.
The President added the government launched last year the Kadiwa ng Pangulo at Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Housing Project in Camarines Sur.
He said the administration has already completed eight farm-to-market roads, totaling 8.32 kilometers and costing PhP193 million. Nine other farm-to-market road projects are in the pipeline, totaling 31 kilometers and costing PhP675 million, he added.
President Marcos also ordered the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to immediately complete other infrastructure projects such as the flood control facility on Bicol River to avoid flooding amid the incoming La Niña. PND
