President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to place Laguna, Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) beginning August 6 until August 15, 2021.

Meanwhile, placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from August 6 to August 15, 2021 are Cavite, Lucena City, Rizal and Iloilo Province.

Batangas and Quezon, on the other hand, shall be placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions from August 6 to August 15, 2021.

Beginning 8 August 2021, the municipality of Gingoog will be placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions, following the quarantine classification of its mother province, Misamis Oriental.###
