The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will launch a high-tech mobile command center to be used for the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday.
The mobile command center has many features that will be utilized for the first time.
Don Artes told a news forum in Quezon City on Saturday.
Artes said 1,300 MMDA personnel will be deployed on Monday.
The MMDA chief said rerouting schemes will be implemented on Monday, adding that details are posted on their social media page.
Earlier this week, MMDA said it is 100-percent ready for the SONA of President Marcos.
In an advisory, MMDA said its personnel are tasked to manage both vehicular and pedestrian traffic; assist in emergency response; conduct rounds of road and sidewalk clearing operations; assist in crowd control; and traffic monitoring.
On the sidelines of the distribution of Presidential Assistance for Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families (PAFFF) in Apayao, President Marcos said his speech for SONA is already done.
“Fine-tuning na lang mga ginagawa namin, aayusin namin ‘yan lahat bukas at saka hanggang Linggo para maging handa para sa SONA sa Lunes,” the President told the media on Friday. PND
