New Delhi–Malacañang said it is open to receiving any information that could help uncover irregularities in public infrastructure projects, particularly flood control projects, as long as it is backed by evidence.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro welcomed Senator Panfilo Lacson’s claim that over 67 members of the House of Representatives are allegedly tied to government infrastructure contracts, saying the administration supports full transparency and accountability in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s anti-corruption drive.
Kung sino man ang nakakaalam na mga may ugnayan patungkol sa mga proyekto na masasabing may anomalya, agad dito dahil hindi natin magkakaroon ng judgment kaagad-agad,” Castro said in a press briefing here on the sidelines of the President’s five day State Visit to India.
Lacson said at least 67 members of the House of Representatives in 2022 were allegedly contractors of their own government-funded infrastructure projects.
Castro said the administration may coordinate with Lacson in the investigation.
| PND
