During the event, the Chief Executive noted that the around 170,000 students in engineering, IT, and sciences who graduate annually “will ensure a steady supply of professionals who will be working and innovating in these industries while a supportive government will create a favorable working environment.”

President Marcos also committed the government’s continued support to enhance the country’s talent pool by bringing them closer to learning and advancement opportunities.

The President mentioned that several key academic institutions are taking part in the Engineering Research and Development for Technology program.

“This aims to implement a high-impact research agenda in keeping with the government’s National Science and Technology Plan and the Philippine Development Plan,” he said.

The President further noted that along with this, the Board of Investments has worked on the delivery of a development package for electronic companies entering or expanding their presence in the Philippines.

“As we chart the course towards a Bagong Pilipinas, I enjoin everyone to seize this opportunity to deepen your partnerships, engage in constructive discussions, and share your unique insights and perspectives,” the President stated.

“With our harmonized efforts, I believe that we can create a Bagong Pilipinas where digital transformation is secured, the aspirations of our people are reinforced, and our position in the global technological landscape is solidified,” he added.

In his speech, the President congratulated the Worldbex Services International on the promising shows “intended to stimulate a more globally competitive, dynamic, and robust Philippines by elevating the standards of our technological landscape.”

“From addressing the construction and design needs of enterprises to creating innovative solutions in the world of electronics, it is undeniable that you have empowered our people and industries to thrive in a more digitally-connected and prosperous future,” he said.

“In the same vein, you have surpassed conventions by implementing multifaceted approaches that confront the complex challenges that many industries face today. For these, I thank all of you,” he added.

The Chief Executive acknowledged the efforts of the participants that have led to the “growth of our technology and innovation industries while also generating employment opportunities for our citizens.”
