PBBM creates MetroCas Industrial Estates-Special Economic Zone in Cavite through Proclamation No. 513



President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. designated several parcels of land in Tanza, Cavite as a Special Economic Zone through the issuance of Proclamation No. 513.

The President’s April 1 issuance, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, created the MetroCas Industrial Estates-Special Economic Zone in the province.

President Marcos issued Proclamation 513 pursuant to Republic Act No. 7916, or the “Special Economic Zone Act of 1995”, as amended by RA No. 8748, and upon the recommendation of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

Signed into law on February 24, 1995, the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995 aims to encourage economic growth through the development of special economic zones called “Ecozones”

The parcels of land, with an aggregate area of 404,141 square meters include Parcel 1 Sp-04-000212-18; Parcel 2 Sp-04-000212-18; and Parcel 3 Sp-04-000212-18.

The Proclamation also covers Parcel 4 Sp-04-000212-18; MLC-042120-09; and MLC-042120-09-A. *PND*
