President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday distributed a total of 2,558 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) and e-titles to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Mindanao.
Of the figure, 1,344 CLOAs went to 1,559 ARBs in Bukidnon; four CLOAs to four ARBs in Camiguin; 670 CLOAs to 649 ARBs in Lanao del Norte; 396 CLOAs to 392 ARBs in Misamis Occidental; and 144 CLOAs to 246 ARBs in Misamis Oriental.
At the same time, the Chief Executive awarded a total of PhP85 million in financial assistance to ARBs.
The President also gave PhP10,000 in financial assistance to each of 1,760 ARBs in Northern Mindanao and PhP10,000 each to 6,745 non-ARB recipients from Lanao del Norte under the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The President’s visit to Lanao del Norte is not only to fulfill the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program started by his father, the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., but also for the Chief Executive to personally recognize the significance and full potential of farmers and ARBs.
The President noted the financial assistance distributed on Friday is separate from the PhP12.9 million in aid extended to Lanao del Norte and the PhP72.8 million handed over to Northern Mindanao in 2022.
With the help of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), the President said the CLOA distribution and the Presidential assistance can enhance farmers’ capabilities and further strengthen their livelihood. PND
