President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. turned over a PhP80.9-million check from the Office of the President (OP) to Camp Navarro General Hospital (CNGH).
The President made the donation as he inspected the newly constructed building at the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) medical facility on Thursday.
The check was received by CNGH chief Lt. Col. Giovanni R. Falcatan who also briefed the President during the inspection of the new hospital building.
The P80.9 million donation by the President will be used for the procurement of equipment for the hospital’s operating room, diagnostics, ward, physical therapy, and other equipment.
Constructed in 1975, the CNGH is located in Upper Calarian, WESMINCOM, Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.
A 50 to 100-bed capacity infirmary-level hospital, CNGH caters to soldiers, dependents, and authorized civilians who need medical, surgical, and pediatric services in the WESMINCOM’s area of operations.
The recently completed CNGH building will serve as a Role III facility to deliver critical medical service and support for both military and civilians under WESMINCOM’s jurisdiction.
The hospital is programmed to provide Role II functions to support Camp Teodulfo Bautista Station Hospital in Jolo, Sulu, which is also under the same command. *PND*
