President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reiterated the administration’s commitment to providing quality and accessible healthcare for all Filipinos.
The President made the remark during the turnover ceremony of the Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics for 28 provinces in Mindanao. The event was held at the Manila North Harbor Port in Manila on Friday.
The distribution of the Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics is part of the administration’s commitment under the Health Sector 8-point Action Agenda, reflecting the government’s drive to bring healthcare closer to the people, especially those living in remote and far-flung areas.
Each mobile clinic unit offers health consultations and is equipped with modern medical tools and equipment for early diagnosis, such as X-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory analysis.
“Sa mga serbisyo pong ito, mayroon tayong pagkakataong maiwasan o maagapan ang mga sakit tulad ng tuberculosis, diabetes, sakit sa bato, at iba pa,” the President said.
The mobile medical units will be distributed to Regions IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The President also urged Local Government Units (LGUs) to use the mobile clinics accordingly.
The President earlier led the turnover of 51 ambulances or Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) to LGUs and state-run hospitals in Western Visayas. PND
