President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Saturday acknowledged the indispensable roles of parents, coaches, teachers, and local communities in molding and supporting the nation’s student-athletes.
Addressing thousands of student-athletes and their supporters during the Palarong Pambansa 2025 opening ceremony at Ferdinand E. Marcos Stadium in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, President Marcos said the path to becoming a champion extends beyond individual talent.
“Kaya napakahalaga ng papel ng mga magulang ninyo, mga guro, mga coach na pagbibigay sa inyo ng payo at pagmamahal sa bawat hamon na inyong hinaharap,” the President said.
The Chief Executive expressed gratitude to the local government units and organizers who work behind the scenes to ensure the success of Palarong Pambansa by providing essential support and resources for the event and all the participants.
The President’s message resonated as a call for collective responsibility, emphasizing that nurturing champions requires a united community effort.
President Marcos encouraged the youth and their support networks to continue fostering sportsmanship, resilience, and passion sports that will strengthen the Philippines’ future.
