President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday lauded Sulu province for preserving its rich and diverse culture.
The President noted Filipinos in Sulu kept and nourished the arts, music, creations and customs of their ancestors from centuries ago.
The President made the remarks during the distribution of PhP10 million in financial assistance to fisherfolk and farmers affected by the El Niño phenomenon.
He also led the distribution of PhP10,000 cash to each of at least 5,000 beneficiaries of DSWD’s Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP).
Each of the attendees during the occasion also received five kilos of rice from the Office of Speaker Martin Romualdez.
