PBBM meets Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii in Palace courtesy call

President Ferdinand R. Marcos received the officers and members of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii in a courtesy call in Malacañang on Monday, remembering the hospitality and generosity of Filipinos in Hawaii.

Marcos outlined during the call his administration’s policies and programs to maintain the country’s growth momentum, particularly as it emerges from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the call, the President reminisced about how his family owes so much to the Filipino community in Hawaii during the years that his family made the island state their home.

“I wouldn’t be here were if not for the compassion and kindness of our kababayans in Hawaii who gave us food and clothes when we arrived because we had nothing,” Marcos said.

The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii is considered one of the biggest and oldest Filipino chambers in the United States, providing support to Filipino entrepreneurs in Hawaii.

The organization also provides regular networking meetings, valuable workshops, and outreach trade missions to the Philippines. #
