PBBM reassures AFP of gov’t support

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), emphasizing their partnership in upholding the rule of law and building a stronger, more secure and equitable nation.

“This Administration will remain [as] your steadfast partner in strengthening our institutions and upholding the rule of law, so we can build a Bagong Pilipinas that is stronger, that is more secure, more equitable for all,” President Marcos said.

He made the remarks during the oath-taking ceremony of 36 newly promoted generals and flag officers at the Malacañan Palace on Wednesday.

The Chief Executive urged AFP leaders to empower their troops to serve communities and to act with skill and compassion.

He lauded AFP’s significant contributions in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and providing humanitarian assistance and disaster response. | PND
