To honor the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday urged all civil servants to embody heroism in their daily duties.
The President called on public servants to uphold accountability through delivering prompt, quality service.
At the same time, the President warned that public officials and employees who abuse their authority, misuse their position, or neglect their responsibilities will be held accountable.
Pananagutan. ‘Yan ang sigaw ng sambayanan,” President Marcos said in his speech at the 127th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence and “Parada ng Kalayaan 2025″ held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
“Papanagutin natin hindi lang ang mga umaabuso sa tungkulin, maging ang mga nagkukulang sa paglilingkod,” the President added, stressing that the government must ensure that the daily needs of Filipinos are addressed.
President Marcos said what the people demand is real action and speedy, quality service from the government and its frontline agencies.
President Marcos emphasized that freedom can be better enjoyed if there is food on the table of healthy Filipino families and dignity in their lives.
| PND
