President Ferdinand R. Marcos will visit Leyte province this week to attend various events, including the switch-on ceremony for the Spark San Juanico Aesthetics Light and Sound Show at the San Juanico Bridge on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Funded by the Department of Tourism, the P80-million San Juanico aesthetic lighting and sound project is the first of its kind in the country.
San Juanico Bridge, which connects Leyte and Samar islands, was constructed during the administration of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., the President’s father.
On Thursday, October 20, the President will join other officials for this year’s 78th Leyte Gulf Landings anniversary commemoration at the MacArthur Landing National Park in Palo, Leyte.
It will be followed by his attendance at the 75th Charter Day celebration of Ormoc City, also in Leyte. (PND)
