President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday called on local officials of Misamis Occidental to be vigilant against groups or individuals who will attempt to undermine the hard-won victories of the government in the province.
In his speech, President Marcos stressed the administration’s commitment to sustaining stability, peace, and progress in Misamis Occidental through various programs and projects aimed at benefiting its people.
“However, as we celebrate today these gains, we cannot rest here. We must remain vigilant against the emerging threats that undermine these hard-won gains,” President Marcos told the local executives in the province.
“I ask the local government units of Misamis Occidental to intensify collaboration with various government agencies, partners, and other stakeholders to thwart any posturing or coming back of terrorist groups or any of their financiers or supporters may still be contemplating,” the President added.
President Marcos emphasized that both national and the local governments must work together to harness the power of peace and uplift Misamis Occidental, the region and the Philippines “to unparalleled heights.”
“Let Misamis Occidental stand as a shining example of what can be achieved when we work for the greater good together,” the Chief Executive said.
President Marcos also highlighted how peace leads to more opportunities for growth, investments and improved social services for the present and future generations. |PND
