PBBM to political allies: Teamwork key to a prosperous PH

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday highlighted the significance of unity among political leaders to achieve a more prosperous and progressive Philippines.

“Hindi pangkaraniwan ang pagtitipon ngayon dahil ito ay pagkakataon para ipakita natin ang kahalagahan ng pagsasama-sama at ng pagkakaisa. Para sa kaunlaran… Para sa pagbabago… Para sa magandang kinabukasan nating lahat,” President Marcos said in his speech during the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas Convention 2024 in Pasay City.

A great public servant stands up for the interest, welfare, and rights of every Filipino, and must also be humane, God-fearing, and patriotic, he said.

During the event, President Marcos forged an alliance with selected public servants to improve the lives of the Filipinos. They are current Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos; Makati Mayor Abby Binay; Sen. Pia Cayetano; former senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson; Sen. Lito Lapid; and Sen. Imee Marcos.

He also forged an alliance with former senator and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao; Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla; former Senate president Vicente “Tito” Sotto; Sen. Francis Tolentino; ACT-CIS party list Rep. Erwin Tulfo; and Deputy Speaker Las Piñas Rep Camille Villar.

“Sa kanilang kalidad at karanasan mataas ang aking kumpyansa na sila ay ating magiging katuwang sa ating pagsulong at sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng ating bansa. Atin po sila samahan at suportahan,” President Marcos said.

The Chief Executive also witnessed the Signing of Manifesto of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas by the party leaders of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), National Unity Party (NUP), and Nacionalista Party (NP).

The Manifesto represents the parties’ reaffirmation of their commitment to the President’s vision of building a more prosperous, peaceful, and inclusive Philippines, anchored on the principles of good governance, social justice, and economic progress. *| PND*
