President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing to reflect not just on their past accomplishments but also on the challenges that lie ahead during their 56th founding anniversary on Monday.
“As we celebrate your achievements, I ask all of you to reflect not just on what you have accomplished, but on what lies ahead,” the President told the Bluebirds at their anniversary held at Villamor Air Base.
The President reminded the airlift wing that it is not enough “to rest on the laurels of the past,” but they must also examine their strengths and weaknesses and commit to their advancement, as this is what truly defines them.
“We must look inward, examine our strengths and weaknesses, and commit [ourselves] to continuous improvement,” President Marcos said.
“Let us be reminded that it is not just our work that defines us, but also the depth of our commitment, the strength of our character, and the nobility of our cause,” he added.
The Chief Executive also acknowledged the uniformed men and women of the 250th PAW not only for protecting national security but also for embodying the hope of every Filipino in the Bagong Pilipinas.
The President also assured the 250th PAW of his administration’s efforts to prioritize the health and wellness of its personnel.
“Rest assured that this Administration is resolute to see that your health, well-being and wellness are taken care of so that you continue to carry out your duties efficiently,” President Marcos said.
Before concluding his speech, President Marcos urged everyone “to rise higher, reach further, and dream bigger.”
“Let us continue to rise higher, reach further, dream bigger; let us ensure that the legacy you have built is not just remembered, but carried forward with pride and with purpose,” the President said.
