President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday encouraged Filipinos to utilize the recently launched eGovPH Super App to access medical services conveniently.
During the launching of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp.’s (PhilHealth) Yaman ng Kalusugan Program Para Malayo sa Sakit (YAKAP), the President urged the public to help the government disseminate information about the eGovPH Super App.
“Lahat ‘yung registration hanggang sa pagkuha sa parmasya ng inyong gamot, lahat ay magagawa na online pagka nasa inyo na ‘yung eGov app para mas madali,” President Marcos said during the launch held in Quezon City.
“Kaya po i-download niyo na po ‘yung eGov Super App… halos lahat kasi kailangan magpatingin sa doktor,” the President added.
By using the eGov Super App, patients from remote areas no longer need to travel to urban center to seek medical attention in regional medical centers.
On orders of President Marcos, PhilHealth has focused on digitalization of services, allowing registration and consultation to be done online.
If a doctor were to give a prescription, patients can go to the nearest PhilHealth-accredited pharmacy to get their medicines by presenting a Quick Response (QR) code, the President pointed out.
“Kaya ito po ay para mas madaling mag-avail lahat ng ating mga kababayan dito sa ating bagong serbisyo na ito, dito sa ating bagong programa,” the President stressed.
On July 18, President Marcos led the launch of the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Super app and the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub in San Juan City, aiming to streamline and make government services more accessible.
