President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday reaffirmed his administration’s full support for the highly trained Philippine Air Force (PAF), recognizing its vital role in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During his visit to Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, President Marcos expressed his gratitude and full support to PAF personnel, emphasizing the government’s commitment to their well-being, operational readiness, and mission success.
The President highlighted the complexity and risks of military service, assuring troops that his administration is doing everything to provide the best possible equipment, training, and health facilities—not just for them, but also for their families.
“This is why this government is highly, highly supportive of all that our men, women, and even our civilian support groups are doing for the country,” President Marcos said in a speech during the “Talk to the Troops.”
“We must continue to make sure that our troops, our airmen, our pilots, our staff, are all supported properly so you can do your jobs properly. And rest assured that this is not only for now, na minsanan lang ito. Ito ay tuloy-tuloy dahil ang hinaharap natin ay hindi naman mawawalang bigla ‘yan,” President Marcos also said.
Remarking on the much more complicated global landscape, the Commander-in-Chief called on the troops to remain clear on their mission.
President Marcos emphasized the vital role of the Air Education and Training Command in producing disciplined and capable personnel who can anticipate all possible scenarios during missions.
“Malakas naman ang loob ko because I have seen the product of the Air Education and Training Command and I know that you are all well-trained, well-equipped, and all very willing and able to continue in your duty to protect the Philippines,” said the President. | PND
