The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has served 2.3 million Filipinos in 21 provinces nationwide and provided PhP17 billion in various services and financial assistance since its launch in August last year.
President Marcos served as the keynote speaker during the BPSF Agency Summit 2024’s “Gabi ng Pagkakaisa” in Pasay City on Monday, where he lauded public service to Filipinos and recognized BPSF’s representation of unity among different government agencies and local government units (LGUs).
“Patunay lamang ito na marami tayong magagawa [para] sa bayan basta’t tayo’y nagkakaisa. Kaya nating baguhin, pabilisin, at ilapit sa mga mamamayan ang serbisyo ng pamahalaan. Sabi nga nila, basta’t gugustuhin natin, mahahanapan natin ng paraan,” President Marcos said.
“At dahil ginusto at isinapuso ninyo, naging matagumpay ang BPSF. Kaya naman, para sa ating mga lingkod-bayan, local government [units], at ibang katuwang sa adhikaing ito, salamat naman sa inyong dedikasyon, at walang sawang paglilingkod, at ang inyong sakripisyo,” he added.
The President said he hopes the drive and passion of public servants to help Filipinos lives on.
He also mentioned that BPSF’s services have reached 2.3 million Filipinos from Laoag, Ilocos Norte to Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, covering 21 provinces in just one year, where beneficiaries received over PhP12 billion worth of various government services and nearly PhP5 billion in financial assistance.
President Marcos expressed his gratitude to public servants, LGUs, and other partners for their unwavering determination that led to BPSF’s success. He dedicated the initiative to Filipinos, hoping it would improve their lives.
“Sa ating mga kababayan, para sa inyo po ang Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair. Nawa po, sa pamamagitan ng BPSF ay nakatulong kami upang makabuti sa inyong mga kabuhayan,” he added.
Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair had its project dry run in August 2023 in Biliran and its official and simultaneous launch in Ilocos Norte, Camarines Sur, Leyte, and Davao de Oro in September 2023.
The BPSF Agency Summit 2024 will run from August 19-21, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City. *PND*
