President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured Filipinos on Tuesday that they will all be provided with equal care and protection under his administration, regardless of their leaders’ political affiliations.
In his speech during the distribution of 129 patient transport vehicles (PTVs) by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) to various local government units (LGUs), President Marcos said he is removing politics from healthcare services.
When he was governor, President Marcos said he witnessed how those with connections got priority while ordinary citizens waited in line for services.
The President was elated that there was no politics involved in the distribution of the PTVs.
“And that is why I am very, very happy because it is true service to the people. It is removed from political color. It is removed from all these political forces,” the President said.
A total of 129 PTVs were distributed to various LGUs during the program as a project initiated by the PCSO. PND
