Without putting much attention on survey results regarding his performance, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said he would be happy whenever the public appreciates his hard work as an elected official.

A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey revealed Monday that 80 percent of adult Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of President Duterte for the second quarter of 2019.

“I do not go for this kind of things. Basta ako, trabaho lang,” the President said in an interview with reporters in Malacañang when asked about the recent survey result on his net satisfaction rating.

“As always, sinabi ko, if you are satisfied with my work, then I’m happy. If you are not satisfied, then I’ll work more. Dagdagan ko ‘yung pawis ko.”

The latest SWS survey showed that only 12 percent of Filipinos are “dissatisfied” with President Duterte’s performance while nine percent said they are undecided.

He posted a net satisfaction rating of +68, which is classified as “very good,” SWS said. The President’s +68 rating is also his new personal record-high, surpassing his previous record of +66 in March 2019 and June 2017.

The President’s net satisfaction rating remained “very good” in Balance Luzon (+65), Visayas (+66), and Metro Manila (+59) while it stayed “excellent” in Mindanao (+81), according to the SWS.

In both urban and rural areas, President Duterte’s net satisfaction rating also remained “very good.”

The SWS survey also found the President reaching a new record-high among those in Class E after his +58 rating in March 2019 jumped to +68 in June 2019.

The June 2019 Social Weather Stations survey was conducted from June 22-26, 2019 using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults (18 years old and above) nationwide: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, SWS said. PND
