In a statement, President Marcos urged both parties to address the dispute through dialogue and adherence to international law.

“The Philippines views with concern the ongoing conflict between our two fellow ASEAN Member States and urges them to resolve the dispute in accordance with international law and the peaceful settlement of disputes,” President Marcos said.

Underscoring the country’s commitment to ASEAN unity and regional stability, President Marcos also offered his readiness to contribute to any efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and restoring peace.

“The Philippines stands ready to assist in any way to restore peace,” the President added.
