We understand that the House of Representatives, on its 3rd and final reading of the 2018 proposed budget, would restore the budget of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP).

This is part of the checks and balances of our system of government where the Executive proposes the budget and Congress approves the amount to be allocated to the departments and offices of government.
