SoKor President lauds PBBM’s leadership



South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Monday praised the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. which brought development in the Philippines.

“Through my visit to Manila, I saw firsthand the ongoing dynamic development of this great nation under the leadership of President Marcos Jr. I also witnessed the infinite potential of Korea-Philippines relations,” President Yoon told President Marcos.

The South Korean leader made the remarks during the joint press conference with President Marcos.

President Yoon, his wife, First Lady Kim Keon Hee and the South Korean delegation were warmly welcomed by the President and First Lady Liza Louise Araneta-Marcos at the Malacañan Palace on Monday.

In the joint press briefing, President Yoon said he is immensely honored and privileged to make the State Visit to the Philippines, which he considered as a core partner of South Korea in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The South Korean President also noted the timeliness of his visit as the Philippines and South Korea are marking the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relation since it was formally established on March 3, 1949.

President Yoon and President Marcos also formally elevated the relationship of the Philippines and South Korea to a Strategic Partnership. | PND
