Statement of Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on the Inauguration of President-elect Joseph ‘Joe’ Biden Jr. and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris



We join President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in extending the administration’s greetings of congratulations and best wishes to United States President Joseph ‘Joe’ Biden Jr. and Vice President Kamala Harris upon their assumption of their official duties today.

As we continue to mutually uphold our mutual interests, especially our collective fight against and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, may this new chapter in American politics and society continue to promote the long-standing and strategic relationship of the Philippines with the United States.

May the Biden administration deliver policies and priorities that promote the interests of the American people and embody the ideals of democracy.
