Two major bridges to be opened to motorists this year – PBBM

At least two major bridges are expected to be opened in the Philippines this year under the government’s Inter-Island Linkage Bridge Program.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced this during his 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

President Marcos identified the two bridges as the Panguil Bay Bridge in Northern Mindanao and the Guicam Bridge in Zamboanga Sibugay.

The Panguil Bay Bridge is touted as the longest water-spanning bridge in Northern Mindanao, connecting Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental, while the Guicam Bridge will connect Olutanga Island to the mainland of Mindanao.

In his SONA, the Chief Executive highlighted his administration’s achievements in terms of infrastructure projects through its “Build Better More” Program. |PND
