President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday urged the newly-sworn in members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) to uphold the ideology of the party in empowering local government units as decision-makers through the concept of federal governance.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. held a meeting with the Department of Energy to discuss measures aimed at achieving 100% electrification in the country. Modifications to Republic Act No. 9184, or the Government Procurement Reform Act, were also deliberated upon with the Department of Budget and Management, the Department of Finance, and other relevant agencies. The proposed amendments are geared towards enhancing transparency within the government.

Seeing the potential of the Philippines in electric vehicle (EV) production, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed on Thursday the public-private sector collaboration to make the country a major player in the e-vehicle industry.

The Philippines and Iran are looking at initiating high-level contacts to discuss various areas of cooperation such as agriculture, trade and investment, technology, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

The Philippines and the Federal Republic of Germany agreed on Thursday to continue strengthening the two countries’ climate cooperation while deepening people-to-people relations.
