The 14-man Philippine delegation led by Special Envoy and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Chief of Presidential Protocol (PAFA) Robert E.A. Borje concluded its third day official mission to the Kingdom of Bahrain by interacting with the FIlipino community and commemorating the 124th Anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Almost a hundred Filipinos have joined the event dubbed as "Kalinga at Malasakit ng Pangulo para sa OFWs sa Bahrain" at the Wyndham Grand Manama on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Many of them were vaccine testing volunteers and survivors of coronavirus in the Gulf state. PAFA Borje, accompanied by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Arriola and Philippine Ambassador to Kingdom of Bahrain Alfonso Ver, listened to the testimonies shared by some Filipino migrants and at the same time, conveyed the message of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte prior to handing them the financial assistance given by the President. A visiting senior official of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) praised the Philippines for its global peace and security contributions through Filipino scientists’ high-quality data gathering and scientific monitoring.

Sa kanyang pagtitipon kasama ang mga kababayan nating Waray, binigyang-diin ni PBBM ang kahalagahan ng diplomasya at dignidad sa pagtatanggol ng ating soberanya, pati na rin ang epektibong pamamahala laban sa krimen at droga, na hindi dumadaan sa madugong solusyon, kundi sa mga makatarungang hakbang at suporta sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno at lokal na pamahalaan.
