The 14-man Philippine delegation led by Special Envoy and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Chief of Presidential Protocol (PAFA) Robert E.A. Borje concluded its third day official mission to the Kingdom of Bahrain by interacting with the FIlipino community and commemorating the 124th Anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Almost a hundred Filipinos have joined the event dubbed as "Kalinga at Malasakit ng Pangulo para sa OFWs sa Bahrain" at the Wyndham Grand Manama on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Many of them were vaccine testing volunteers and survivors of coronavirus in the Gulf state. PAFA Borje, accompanied by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Arriola and Philippine Ambassador to Kingdom of Bahrain Alfonso Ver, listened to the testimonies shared by some Filipino migrants and at the same time, conveyed the message of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte prior to handing them the financial assistance given by the President.
